Sioux Falls Police Win 9^th Annual “Heroes” Blood Drive
For only the second time in nine years, the Sioux Falls Police Department recruited the most blood donors during the Community Blood Bank’s Heroes Behind the Badges blood drive. 

Sioux Police attracted 291 donors, compared to Sioux Falls Fire Rescue’s 251, an increase of 110 units over last year.  Heroes Behind the Badges is an annual friendly competition between the departments to see who can recruit the most blood donors between the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

Sioux Falls Police began their campaign on December 26^th with a “Cops and Doughnuts” blood drive at Krispy Kreme in Sioux Falls that contributed 79 units.
