Sioux Falls Police Win 10^th Annual “Heroes” Blood Drive
For the third time in 10 years, the Sioux Falls Police
Department recruited the most blood donors during the Community Blood Bank’s “Heroes Behind The Badges” blood drive.

Sioux Falls Police helped collect 269 donations, compared to Sioux Falls Fire Rescue’s 220.

“Heroes Behind the Badges” is an annual friendly competition between the departments to see who can recruit the most blood donors between the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

The two departments made a difference in the community’s blood supply for the holidays by collecting a total of 489 donations and saved local patients' lives.
